Are there some Christians who still believe in Biblical Patriarchy?

While I understand the thinking, I believe patriarchism is actually more cultural than biblical model. Perhaps it can be argued that it was a model for ancient Israel because of the nature of family and the promised land. This model isn't one that easily transfers to other nations. No where does the Bible command a model for Gentiles.
