Are the physicists at the American Institute of Physics just Al Gore zombies too?

Al Gore is a red herring used by contrarians. If they can frame the issue as a political right vs left thing, they can win more converts to their cause than they would by debating science or focusing on the qualified opinion of scientists, indicated by the position statements of dozens of academies and organizations, peer-reviewed studies, and scientific surveys of qualified individuals.
